The architectural concept combines two antagonist dimensions: unity of the whole as being a mineral outgrowth of the mountain, and diversity of the units, meaning private dwelling modules that can be individualized in many variations, formed by standardized elements. The dwelling units integrate contemporary needs and tendencies in function and form, recapitulating at the same time the patrimonial character. They grant the occupants with complete openness of the space to unobstructed scenery marked at its lower end by the rhythmical roof gardens of the hanging terraces. Thus the dwelling space is open and private at the same time. Privacy screens (Moucharabieh) separate balconies and decks from lateral exposure.

Continuity and volumetric articulation are binding factors for the spaces that are combined in an optimal packing density, benefiting also from an easy access system based on funiculars, lifts, stairs, landscaped walkways, and shuttle service.
