“We had the opportunity to make an extensive review of the recent productions of the Lebanese architects, in Lebanon and abroad, and to mention some of their distinctive achievements, appreciating a general tendency to compete at the forefront of the international architectural innovations. However, the reviewed projects were mostly designed in a “tendance” manner, than inscribed in a quest of a personalised language of forms, proper to the society and the milieu. A fundamental debate about being a Lebanese architect today is mostly needed in order to enrich the Lebanese cultural and environmental spheres.”
