Conceived and built in 9 months, the Faculty was implemented in a soft integration as a hosting space in the campus of USEK University. Its welcoming spatial configuration develops in a central hall with an interior garden and a zenithal lighting. The garden is the core of the building; it integrates the introvert circulation, extends the visual perspectives, and links the various functions. The resulting inner environment is changing in character according to seasons, playing also a pedagogical role, for the display of plants in the interior garden is informative and the space accommodates workshops.
The conference hall, carved in the facade, extends its flight of stairs as an additional entrance that impacts the spatial configuration of the campus. Its form is an ideogram, emblematic of the cultural role of the Faculty. The indoor-outdoor transparency achieved by the architectural concept emphasizes the link between the Faculty and the Campus, conceived as one pedagogical entity, amid the diversity of its specialized buildings.
